Q: Why is the expiration date important?

A: It is important always to read the expiration date on the package carton and bottle label.  You should not take any medicine beyond the expiration date.

Q: What’s the best product for my specific symptoms?

A: Please use our Robitussin® Relief Finder to determine the right product for you.  Always read and follow label directions. Consult your doctor with any questions.

Q: Do children normally get more colds than adults?

A: It is not unusual for a child to get six to 10 colds a year, while the average adult gets only two to four. That's because children haven't yet built up the immunity to viruses that adults have, and children are exposed to a greater variety of illnesses at school or in daycare.

Q: How can I keep medicine out of the reach of my children?

A: Even though Robitussin® has child-resistant packaging on all its products, you need to keep medicines out of sight and out of reach of your kids.

A few simple steps can help:

  1. Make sure you store medicine in a locked cabinet out of the sight and reach of your children.
  2. Never leave your medicine sitting out or in sight for them to reach it.
  3. Get rid of your old medicine in a way your children cannot reach it.
  4. Robitussin® may taste good but make sure your child knows it is medicine first – not candy.
Q: Can a person with asthma use this product?

A: You should consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Q: Can Robitussin®  products be taken during pregnancy or while nursing a baby?

A: As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using Robitussin® products.

Q: Are any Robitussin® formulas for diabetics?

A: Yes, Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion Sugar-Free DM is specially formulated for diabetics.
